Leadership AND EXECUTIVE coaching

Leadership coaching and Executive coaching are types of business coaching to support your leaders’ development and improve their individual leadership skills and performance. The objective of professional coaching is to support each leader in their specific challenges, including : communication, management, team management and strategy. Professional leadership coaching is an effective way to develop key skills and prepare an organization for challenges. It is aimed at all types of profiles, including: C-suites, executives, senior managers, team leaders, young talents, and future leaders, because leadership skills are required at every leadership level.

Why choose corporate leadership and executive coaching ?

Is something preventing a leader from reaching their full potential or achieving a higher leadership level? Do they need support, or, more positively, have they already asked you to help them develop? Do you want to prepare a future leader to take on leadership responsibilities? We have coached dozens of managers to help them bring more value to their companies and develop their teams by enhancing their leadership skills and helping them reach their full potential, by adding value to their companies and developing sustainable teams.

Corporate leadership and executive coaching

Implement sustainable change through leadership development

If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

Successfully leading teams of all types and sizes is an essential skill; it’s the key to getting things done in many organizations. Becoming a true team leader is a significant turning point in leadership. However, it’s not easy. Why? Because there is neither a single method of leading nor a secret recipe.

In addition to functional expertise, an effective team leader needs a good mix of skills, knowledge, and experience. This means having a good sense of people skills, specific knowledge of team management, a strong grasp of group dynamics, and, above all, a clear picture of their skills and behaviours and their impact on others.

Are you wondering how your leaders can overcome what is holding them back from reaching a higher leadership level ? Our experience in corporate coaching in Lausanne and the French-speaking part of Switzerland has taught us that a person can really develop their leadership skills with the right individual support from a certified professional coach.

We believe that ready-to-use solutions, generic training and quick fixes do not have the power to transform people and companies. A tailored approach and in-depth work are required to develop leadership skills and experience true transformation.

Leadership coaching will help your company implement profound and sustainable change. We will be on your leaders’ side to help them optimise their individual and collective performance with measurable results and long-term impact.

How does a corporate leadership or executive coaching programme work ?

The first step in professional coaching is establishing an inventory and diagnosis with the coachee and possibly the HR and/or supervisor. This step gives us a broader view of the challenge. To do this, we discuss the various subjects that the person wishes to address. We can also use psychometric tests and questionnaires (HOGAN, Emotional Intelligence EMCO4, 360° leadership) to establish an objective view of the situation from the start.

With a clear understanding of the expectations and needs of the coachee, we determine the priorities of leadership coaching. Then, we define the number of sessions to be implemented (generally between 6 and 12) and the frequency (every 1 to 2 weeks). During each session, an objective is defined and ends with a concrete action plan.

During each coaching session, we work on an objective related to the priorities decided upon. Different coaching techniques (questioning, active listening, visualisation, or brainstorming) or tools (matrices, drawings, or diagrams) can then be used depending on the objective and the coachee.
The session ends with a summary of the learning and the key actions and strategies to be implemented.
At the beginning of the next session, we will review the progress made by the coachee and the difficulties and successes encountered. We also take time to unblock any problems. The objective of the session can evolve according to what they need.
It is important to note that everything discussed in the coaching sessions remains confidential.

At the end of the programme, a review can be planned with the people present at the time (HR/superior). The coachee participates in the review preparation and decides what they wish to share. Goodwill and transparency are significant principles that we follow.
At the end of the leadership coaching or executive coaching programme, an action plan is established, and we propose a follow-up meeting three to six months after the last coaching session.

Everything you need to know about executive and leadership coaching

Leadership coaching and executive coaching aim to develop the leadership skills of one or more people. These types of coaching allow leaders or future leaders to assert themselves, define their leadership style, and achieve sustainable relationships and performance, both individually and collectively.

Whether the person is in an executive position or already in a leadership position, leadership coaching will positively impact both the individual and their team.

Corporate leadership coaching and executive coaching are for anyone with the ambition (whether already in a leadership position or not yet) to realise their potential and become a better leader to lead teams and make a real difference in their company.

Leadership training provides the necessary theoretical knowledge and tools to develop skills (e.g., communication, team management, and conflict management). While leadership training is more focused on acquiring new knowledge, leadership coaching focuses on applying and adapting certain concepts and tools. Each leader has their own set of abilities and difficulties and needs to find their management style, so each will have a different context to manage. Personalised and on-going support is necessary to implement and sustain the acquired skills.

A typical leadership or executive coaching programme lasts, on average, 6 to 12 months. Depending on the situation and the objectives, it can be personalised anywhere from 3 to 12 months.

When you contact us via our website or by e-mail, we make sure we will respond within 24 hours. We will then arrange an introductory phone call to discuss your needs, answer your questions, and prepare a tailor-made proposal.

If your company already has a supplier agreement with Leadingenius, we will have an initial call with HR and/or the person to be coached (employee/manager/leader). Once the objectives and content have been agreed, we arrange the dates and frequency of the coaching sessions.

If your company does not yet have a supplier agreement in place and needs professional coaching focused on leadership, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Coaching sessions usually take place in Rolle A-One Business Center, via Zoom or outdoors. The coaching sessions can be held at the company’s premises upon agreement and will be subject to additional costs.
In case the case of force majeure situations (like Covid), all sessions will automatically take place via Zoom.
Coaching sessions are planned during the workday as they are an integral part of professional development.

It is important to note that the length, content, and format are designed to meet the objectives of each individual. Thus, we fully customise our leadership coaching programme and include the following :

  • An initial evaluation to understand in depth the personal and professional history of the coachee and their current environment.
  • A qualitative/quantitative assessment (if necessary, via a leadership assessment, personality test, or 360° assessment) prior to coaching, to set a baseline for performance.
  • one-on-onecoaching sessions to target the leader’s individual needs.
  • Post-coaching feedback and an assessment to measure the results.
  • A follow-up after the programme ends.

Most of our clients opt to schedule a leadership coaching session every two weeks.
First, this allows the sessions to easily adapt to a busy schedule.
Second, it leaves enough time between sessions to reflect on what has been discussed, implement some of the actions, test new approaches, and gather feedback.

That said, it is possible to schedule weekly coaching sessions if availability allows.
Once the coaching relationship has been established over a few months, the sessions can be spaced out to once every three or four weeks.

Our leadership and executive Coaching programmes begin with us listening to you to assess your current situation and define your objectives. We identify what you should absolutely continue doing – and the pitfalls to avoid so you can get the results that count for you, your manager and your company.
We use a combination of coaching techniques, including interviewing, visualising and, where applicable, scientific personality, leadership, and emotional intelligence assessment tools that have been developed and validated by leadership experts. Together these  provide an initial and real “picture” and help us define your concrete objective.
We will then guide you to tap into your best leadership skills and improve your competencies and the way you achieve results with your team.
Anne-Laure has trained as a certified coach, specialising in corporate and leadership coaching from IDC coaching in Geneva (Switzerland), which is accredited by ICF. Hence, she adheres to all professional coaching standards and has learned a varied set of tools and techniques.

She does not use one specific coaching model and has instead built her own “toolbox” of HR, business, and coaching methodologies, even developing some herself.

Each leadership coaching programme is different, as Anne-Laure carefully selects models and techniques to suit each unique situation.

Over the last few years, she has become increasingly interested in leadership personality traits (including derailers who can prevent the best from reaching their full potential), neuroplasticity, and emotional intelligence (that can enhance development and performance). See available assessments.

Like anything else, coaching does not make change happen overnight, but you can expect new self-confidence as a leader. You will know yourself better, clarify your unique authentic leadership style, better know how to position yourself as a leader, communicate engagingly, increase your team’s motivation and act in a way that attracts people to follow you.

You will be able to handle a broader range of business situations, target clear business goals, and implement appropriate strategies for your teams.

Whether you want to reach particular challenging objectives, change your strategy or
lead your team in more inspiringly, your team members will gain confidence in your direction. You will make them feel motivated and empowered to participate in achieving your business strategy.

A coach works closely with their client to help them achieve the goals they have set for the future. A coach is not a therapist, friend, mentor, or counsellor because their approach is unique.
Through a series of observations, questions and practices, a coach can help equip clients with the insights, behaviour, and skill sets to bolster their performance. Coaching may not be for you if you like living in your reality and don’t like being challenged to think differently. However, if you are serious about investing in your leadership development, and if, as a manager/leader you are ready to take a step back, challenge yourself to grow, and take concrete actions, coaching can be excellent leverage for you and your company.
